Recycle Direct Celebrates 20 Years Of Business

Date: 5th February 2019 | By: Recycle Direct

Based in the Neath Valleys South Wales, Recycle Direct has been in business 20 years, with over 30 years’ worth of experience in Baler manufacture and reactive maintenance.

Recycle Direct has grown from a small team of two to a team of fifteen comprising of field service engineers and office-based staff.

The business covers the length and breadth of the UK providing preventative and reactive maintenance, on balers, conveyors, shredders, hoggers, eddy current separators,  reel splitters, if the machine processes waste, Recycle Direct have probably worked on it.

To date, Recycle Direct have dealt with over seven hundred clients within the UK and also overseas. Carried out over two thousand service inspections, supplied over fifty balers, not including a supply of other machinery.

Due to ever-increasing demand to create a more circular economy, processors, manufacturers and waste management industries have had to move with the times. Recycle Direct have embraced this change and adapted to the ever-shifting environment of recycling.

Back in 2011, we won the ‘Made in Wales’ creative award for our ‘Modular Baler’ we understand waste streams can increase at any moment, we wanted to give the availability to processors to expand on their pre-existing baler when their capacity increases, but also retaining functionality if waste streams drop off.

“We’ve gone from strength to strength over the past twenty years, seen the operation go from just the two of us to, to a small workshop in Bridgend, to a larger unit in the same estate and now a new larger premise in the Neath Valleys”

“I’m proud of what we’ve achieved over the past twenty years, I’m excited for what the next couple of years are in store for Recycle Direct. Moving to the new site and with an imminent release of our website, this is the perfect opportunity to new focus on the coming year ” quoted Nigel Davies, Managing Director.
